Rock Steady Boxing

The Goodman Group managed communities, The Commons on Marice, The Inn on Westport, The Lakes at Stillwater, and The Palms of Largo offer Rock Steady Boxing classes, an affiliate program of Rock Steady Boxing, Inc., for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Classes are taught by Rock Steady Boxing Certified Coaches and include an exercise program that is designed to improve quality of life through non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. Workouts focus on overall fitness, strength training, reaction time and balance.

Montessori Inspired Lifestyle®

Pearls of Life® memory care offers Montessori Inspired Lifestyle®, a positive approach to providing care for adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The Montessori Inspired Lifestyle approach of care is based on the methods of Maria Montessori, as adapted for adults by Dr. Cameron Camp, founder of the Center for Applied Research in Dementia. This approach allows residents to focus on their individual strengths and engage in meaningful activities.

Pearls of Life®

Pearls of Life memory care recognizes the value of each individual and helps residents live dignified, well-rounded lives, discovering the treasures, or pearls, within. Pearls of Life memory care offers Montessori Inspired Lifestyle®, a positive approach to providing care for adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Residents are supported through specially designed environments, engaging social activities, and individualized care. Caregivers working in memory care receive training and ongoing in-service continuing education that relates to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Soaring®

Whatever form spirituality takes, Soaring is The Goodman Group’s unique approach to spiritual care. This program supports our residents’ spirits, helping them find peace and meaning in their lives. We recognize the various ways individuals express faith and spirituality, and encourage residents to explore past and new experiences.

FIT Functional Fitness®

The Goodman Group’s progressive, individualized fitness program emphasizes core strength and balance. The goal is to increase overall health and well-being, reduce potential for falls, and encourage residents to remain active. Where possible, the program can reduce the need for assistive mobility devices.

FIT Functional Fitness® incorporates specialized fitness programs, taking current health levels into consideration and allowing all residents to participate, no matter their current functional fitness level. As their participants’ strength and endurance increases, residents may choose to progress to the other programs offered.

Food for Life

Residents at The Goodman Group’s managed senior living and health care communities enjoy a restaurant-style dining experience that offers healthy and fresh choices. Each chef-inspired meal is thoughtfully plated to align with the Food for Life program. Residents have the option to choose from a menu with a variety of balanced food options that meet nutritional guidelines and are lower in sodium, fat and calories.

Intergenerational Programs

Intergenerational opportunities bring children and older adults together to explore ideas and connections. These meaningful experiences foster growth, understanding and friendship between the generations

  • Grand Connections® connects teenagers and residents in purposeful one-on-one weekly interactions
  • Intergenerational Theatre Productions provides children, seniors and other adults the opportunity to learn about theatre, build lasting relationships and participate in a real stage performance. Intergenerational Theatre Productions have included: Peter Pan, Wiley and the Hairy Man, Wizard of Oz, Hill of Magic Beans, Alice in Wonderland, Taming of the Shoe and Goldilocks on Trial. Producing these shows delights both residents and participating youth.
  • Art Across the Ages is an exciting curriculum designed to bring art alive for both children and residents

Valiant Veterans®

Valiant Veterans® proudly recognizes those who have served in the U.S. military, as well as their spouses, family members and friends. This program gives veterans a chance to talk with one another, and to be honored for their commitment to our country.
